Do you love to draw or journal, or just have an affinity for notebooks? Love to learn a new skill, meet some lovely people and have a treasured book to walk away with at the end of the day? Come and take part in our book binding workshop and learn how to make your very own journal or sketchbook, completely from scratch.
We will be making a case-bound book, and learning the entire process from cutting your paper to sewing and “casing in” the book to its cover. This will be using techniques and materials that are easy to repeat at home for a lifetime of lovely journals!
The day will take place in the Bath Abbey Vaults – Part of the original structure of the Abbey which has recently been restored and is now open for use! This is a truly historic, special and rich atmospheric place to learn this craft, using techniques which have been kept the same over hundreds of years.
Lunch will be provided, and there will be a few breaks for tea and coffee just to keep us all going!
